**Rental Agreement Terms and Conditions for Anchorage Car Rental**
1. By making a reservation with Anchorage Car Rental, the Renter acknowledges and agrees to abide by the policies delineated in this Rental Agreement.
2. At the time of vehicle pickup, the Renter is required to provide proof of insurance for Rental CAR Coverage, as well as a valid driver's license.
3. Renters may utilize their own insurance for the rental vehicle; however, coverage may differ based upon the provider. Renters should consult with their insurance provider regarding specifics and potential liabilities. Should the Renter's insurance not cover the rental vehicle, the Renter shall assume full financial responsibility for any repair or replacement costs, up to the vehicle's assessed value. Furthermore, renters shall be liable for all collision damage to the vehicle, irrespective of fault. Failure to present proof of insurance FOR THE RENTAL VEHICLE at the time of vehicle pickup will result in cancellation of the reservation without ANY refund.
4. Only individuals named in the Rental Agreement who are at least 21 years of age are permitted to operate the vehicle.
5. Smoking and the use of tobacco or similar products are strictly prohibited within the vehicle. Renters shall be financially responsible for restoring the vehicle to its original condition if any smoking or undesirable odors are detected.
6. Renters are accountable for any incidental damages, which include traffic violations (e.g., parking tickets), refueling charges, windshield damage, and lost or damaged keys. We strongly recommend that renters consider purchasing windshield coverage through our services.
7. The vehicle must be returned in a satisfactorily clean condition; otherwise, a cleaning fee shall be applied.
8. Before rental, the Renter is obliged to inspect the vehicle, including the tires and windshield, and to document any pre-existing damage.
9. The Renter must utilize the type of fuel specified by the rental company for the vehicle.
10. The Renter is responsible for costs associated with lost vehicle keys, flat tires, and lockouts. Any expenses related to the repair or replacement of flat or damaged tires will be the Renter's responsibility. The company does not provide vehicle replacements for Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) light activations.
11. The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level that was present at the time of rental. We will charge an $8.00-per-gallon fee for noncompliance with the fuel level requirements.
12. The vehicle must be returned at the agreed-upon drop-off time stipulated in the rental agreement. Additional $500.00 charges will apply for late returns, including a $500.00 per day rental vehicle charge for each additional day.
13. The rental company reserves the right to substitute the vehicle with a similar vehicle in the event of mechanical failure or if the rental vehicle is not available. Renters are not eligible for a refund for early vehicle return or late pickup. The rental company may also provide an alternative vehicle under unforeseen circumstances. If the rental vehicle is not available at the time of pickup, the rental company will not be liable for any cost to the Renter for the vehicle not being available, and any payment for the rental vehicle will be fully refunded.
14. Cancellations must be made at least 30 days before the scheduled start date to qualify for a refund. If eligible for a refund, the Renter will incur a 3.5% credit card processing fee associated with the cancellation. We are unable to issue refunds for failure to collect the rental vehicle. Modifications made within 30 days of the trip start date may lead to unchanged or increased reservation costs. Any reservation made within 30 days of the trip starting date must be canceled within 24 Hrs of the reservation time for a refund.
Rental Company will not be liable to the Renter or any other party for any cost due to mechanical failure of the vehicle or if the vehicle becomes inoperable. We highly recommend that the Renter carry travel insurance.
15. The rental vehicle must be picked up and returned to the location specified in the rental agreement; failure to do so may result in additional charges. Full payment is required to confirm the reservation, along with a $300 minimum security deposit. Should a vehicle exchange be permitted, it must be conducted at the rental company's Anchorage location.
16. By making a reservation, you authorize Car Rental Company to process your credit card for the rental car payment and any other charges associated with the reservation.
